ASHLEY BURMAN
Co-Founder and Principal
A Global Health Leader Dedicated to Innovating Solutions at the Intersection of Human, Animal, and Environmental Health. Ashley has dedicated two decades to Public Health, serving as a multilingual program manager, epidemiologist, analyst, and monitoring and evaluation specialist with extensive international experience. Her expertise spans a broad range of areas, including reproductive health, vaccine-preventable diseases, digital health, disease surveillance, preventive health promotion, and healthcare access. Throughout her career, Ashley has successfully led major global initiatives, including the development and enhancement of global surveillance, laboratory, and information systems, the digitalization of post-campaign assessments, the transition of state family planning services to comprehensive reproductive health programs, and the improvement of rural school and community health programs worldwide. Ashley holds a Master of Public Health from Tulane University, a Bachelor of Arts in International Studies and Political Science, and a Global One Health graduate certificate from The Ohio State University. Her academic background is further complemented by various certifications and publications in public health. Her commitment to global health was solidified during her time as a United States Peace Corps Health Volunteer in the Republic of Moldova, where she resolved to dedicate her life to similar work worldwide. From a young age, Ashley has been passionate about animals and their impact on human health. Though she first considered a career in veterinary medicine, her education, Peace Corps service, and professional experience led her to find her true calling in One Health.
KELLY NOWICKI
Co-Founder and Principal
A Passionate Advocate for Global Health, Dedicated to Creating Sustainable Solutions for Healthier Communities Worldwide. Kelly has worked in the field of Public Health for over 15 years developing, implementing, managing, and evaluating a wide range of public health programs including maternal child health (MCH), sexual and reproductive health (SRH), adolescent health, LGBTQ health, HIV/AIDS, chronic & infectious diseases, housing, homelessness, mental health, substance use, health equity, and informatics. She has worked in many domestic and international settings, including small rural hospitals, large nonprofits, and international NGOs, collaborating with a diverse array of partners, stakeholders, and funders. Her academic credentials include a Master of Public Health with a focus on International Health and Development from Tulane University School of Public Health and Tropical Medicine, as well as a Bachelor of Arts in Anthropology from Michigan State University with specializations in Women, Gender, & Social Justice, and Peace & Justice Studies. From 2007-2009, Kelly was a United States Peace Corps Volunteer in St. Ann’s Bay Jamaica, where she served as a HIV/AIDS Advisor at the Jamaica Family Planning Association (FAMPLAN). It was at FAMPLAN that Kelly developed a passion for global health and decided to dedicate her career to working toward a more equitable world in which everyone has the opportunity to live a healthy and happy life.
